My aunt(mom´s sister) has cancer and not long to live, apparently. How do I react to that when I haven't seen her in more than 12 years, and all I wish is that I could have spent more time with her, feeling her arms around me and feeling safe and loved. So selfish. I am terribly saddened by the death of Mao Kobayashi, Kabuki actor Ebizo Ichikawa´s wife and mother of two young children, of breast cancer the day before yesterday. I can't stop the tears, and not just because of her death, leaving these children behind, but because of her courage during the two years she fought it, and the strong family love ( Read more... )

I just got a mail from my uncle in Canada.  His older sister and my aunt has cancer of the pancreas and it's terminal.  She may live 3 weeks or up to 6 months.  Either way, it will very likely be too soon for me to ever see her again ( Read more... )
